EnvironmentalFootprint Calculator (EFC)

On April 22, Earth Day, MacDermid Printing Solutions announced the launch of a unique, interactive tool that calculates the environmental impacts of three different types of flexographic printing plates – solvent, thermal and liquid plates. The Environmental Footprint Calculator (EFC) allows users to determine the environmental impacts particular to their platemaking operations by incorporating customer-specific variables such as plate type, plate gauge, geographic location, plate size, and number of plates.

MacDermid Printing Solutions Named
"Tennessee Recycler of the Year"

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition (TRC) recently announced MacDermid Printing Solutions' Morristown, TN manufacturing facility as the winner of The Business Recycler of the Year 2008 award. The award is presented annually to the business that practices outstanding leadership in waste prevention and recycling in their region or field. Through an intense recycling campaign, MacDermid reduced its landfill volume by more than 85% from 2006 to 2008. During that time, MacDermid was able to divert more than 3 million pounds from the landfill.
